Anne C. Osterman has over 20 years of experience in government and academic libraries, with particular expertise in cooperative acquisitions and collection development, collection assessment, and e-resource management. Her primary responsibilities are managing VIVA operations, content negotiations, and contracts.
Prior to joining VIVA, Anne held a variety of roles at American University, including Director of Information Delivery Services, and was the Research and Data Services Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has numerous publications, including a monograph co-authored with Kari Schmidt, Electronic Resource Management: Practical Perspectives in a New Technical Services Model.
Anne holds a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master’s degree in Statistics from American University, and a bachelor’s degree in Classical Civilization, English, and Religion from Florida State University.
