What are three points of pride in your library?

  • The welcoming, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere provided by our team of library staff members – librarians, paraprofessionals and student workers alike.

  • Our collaboration with many of our excellent faculty in providing valuable and creative bibliographic instruction sessions for our students.

  • Our uniformly excellent campus libraries which reflect their programs and special collections. NOVA libraries in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Woodbridge, and our Medical Education campus in Springfield all make sure that a NOVA library is never very far away, no matter where our students are in Northern Virginia.

What is the most popular spot in the library for users?

  • Our heavily used group study rooms for collaborating on team projects

  • Our digital media lab for creating and editing audio-visual materials

  • Laptop checkout kiosks in the lobby – to get powered up on the go

Which VIVA resource or service do we value the most, and why?

  • The tremendous online access to journal, magazine and newspaper articles provided via the many databases that VIVA helps NOVA provide, especially the EBSCO products.
