VIVA Open Adopt Grants, Fall, 2021 Awards

Adopt grant awards are $2000. These awards are to individual instructors for the adoption of a pre-existing open resource. They support the time it takes to integrate open and no-cost materials into a syllabus, and they ensure that the results of those efforts are made widely available to Virginia educators. The awards listed here are anticipated to impact 7,083 students and provide a total of $778,291 in cost avoidance over the next 5 years. In the categories below “students impacted” refers to the anticipated number of students that will take the listed course over the next 5 years, and “cost avoidance” refers to the 5 year projected student cost avoidance within the course.
