We are pleased to announce VIVA's support for the University of Michigan Press Fund to Mission Open Access Monograph Model for 2023 frontlist content.

SUMMARY: As supporters of the University of Michigan Press Fund to Mission Open Access Monograph Model, VIVA institutions will receive perpetual access to 2023 frontlist content (about 80 titles) while contributing to making them OA. Approximately 75% of the 2023 frontlist titles have been converted to OA. VIVA institutions will also have term access to the entire backlist of 2,000 titles. We anticipate gaining access to additional years of frontlist content (2024 and beyond) in future renewals.

INSTITUTIONS AFFECTED: All public and participating private institutions (Liberty University and Washington & Lee University) have access to this resource. Opt-in options are available for private institutions.

EFFECTIVE DATE: January 1, 2024

ACCESS AND DISCOVERY:  Collection development contacts will receive a “Welcome to UMP EBC” email soon with instructions on setting up access to this resource.
