EBSCO CINAHL Complete, Political Science Complete, and SocINDEX with Full Text

We are excited to announce that as part of the Nursing & Health Sciences RFP and Social Sciences RFP, VIVA has a new ten-year contract for CINAHL Complete, Political Science Complete, and SocINDEX with Full Text through EBSCO.

SUMMARY: VIVA has a new ten-year contract with EBSCO for CINHAL Complete, Political Science Complete, and SocINDEX with Full Text.

 CINAHL Complete is a comprehensive database offering access to 717 active full-text journals spanning various disciplines in nursing and allied health, along with evidence-based care sheets, quick lessons, and more. VIVA has upgraded its previous CINAHL with Full Text subscription to CINAHL Complete.

 Political Science Complete is a full-text research database covering political topics with a worldwide focus, including international relations, political theory and comparative politics. With hundreds of full-text journals and thousands of conference papers, it is a valuable resource for political science researchers and government institutions.

 SocINDEX with Full Text is a robust sociology research database that provides 570 active full-text journals, many of which are peer-reviewed. 

 Additional opt-in products such as Nursing Reference Center Plus with negotiated pricing are also available.

 INSTITUTIONS AFFECTED: All public institutions have access to these resources. Discounted opt-in pricing for private institutions is available. The deadline for private institutions to opt in to CINAHL Complete, Political Science Complete, and SocINDEX is May 1, 2025.

 EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2025

 ACCESS AND DISCOVERY: All three products are available on the EBSCOhost platform.
