What are three points of pride in your library?

  • Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Library is a small, rural, academic library which prides itself on providing friendly customer services to both our students. Library staff work as a team building academic relationships with our faculty and students. The library provides excellent resources and services for academic success and lifelong learning. The library provides a bright, welcoming atmosphere which students enjoy studying and lounging with classmates.

What is the most popular spot in the library for users?

  • Students enjoy the wall of windows in the front of the library and the quiet solitude of study rooms and spaces in the back of the library. The library houses the Writing Center, Testing Center, and provides research assistance and tutoring services to support student success.

Which VIVA resource or service do we value the most, and why?

  • The VIVA resource widely used by students and staff is Ebsco. It provides a vast amount of academic research materials and is user friendly.
