VIVA Request For Proposal (RFP) - Full-Text Multidisciplinary Database (January 2017)


The purpose of this RFP is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified sources to enter into a contract through competitive negotiations to provide a Full-Text Multidisciplinary Periodical Database Product for the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA).

January 2017: RFP Committee drafts RFP.
January 23, 2017: RFP released by JMU Procurement.
February 28, 2017: Sealed proposals due to JMU Procurement at 2:00 P.M.
March 20, 2017: RFP Committee meets to determine finalists.
March 21 until contract awarded: Trials available for all VIVA members.
March 21-May 26, 2017: Survey open for feedback from VIVA members.
June 12, 2017: Final negotiations with vendors; RFP Committee meeting to make recommendations.
August 2017: VIVA Collections Committee reviews recommendation(s).
September 2017: VIVA Steering Committee reviews recommendation(s).
December 2017: Award(s).
July 1, 2018: Service(s) to be available for VIVA members.
